Cubs Win!
Jason and I went to a Cubs vs White Sox game on Saturday at the White Sox Statdium. We would have rather gone to Wrigley Field, but in a world of over-pricing and ticket inflation we decided we could afford this game and so we got tickets off e-Bay last weekend, I know you would think we would learn! We had no problems getting the tickets and our seats were awesome. No not really, we were honestly in the very last row in the upper deck. We could see the field just fine. Oddly enough for June 23rd it was cold! My mom said to make sure we took sunblock-yeah should have brought a jacket-the temperature was nice but a little chilly with the wind blowing. All in all though a good day. We ran into rain most of our trip which was annoying and walking to the stadium we got rained on but not drenched, there was about a 25 minute rain delay which was no big deal. We were sitting up high enough though where we had a cover over our heads so that was a plus. The lead off hitter for the Cubs hit a home run on the second pitch of the game, pretty exciting! Then the Sox fired back and scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, The next score did not come until the top of the ninth inning where the Cubs performed what Jason describes as a "perfectly executed" suicide squeeze, it was pretty amazing and CUBS WIN CUBS WIN!! We were going to go to ESPN Zone, but we decided to get the heck out of Chicago, we HATE that kind of traffic and chaos so we opted to come home and stopped at a Texas Roadhouse on our way home, doesn't get much better than that.
