WEDDING
JASON-HIS MOM-AND I HEADED OUT FRIDAY AFTERNOON TO HUNTINGTON INDIANA WHERE GREG SLEE AND KATIE HAIFLEY WERE GETTING MARRIED. JASON WAS IN THE WEDDING SO WE NEEDED TO BE THERE FRIDAY FOR THE REHEARSAL. IT WAS A VERY NICE WEEKEND. THE WEDDING WAS NICE (VERY NEAT CHURCH) AND WE HAD A LOT OF FUN AT THE RECEPTION. CONGRATS TO GREG AND KATIE! NOW THE WEEKEND IS WRAPPING UP AND JASON AND I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK. HE HAD ALL LAST WEEK OFF AND I HAD ABOUT 3 1/2 DAYS OFF-SO IT'S BACK TO THE REAL WORLD AS THEY SAY!
Columbus
On Thursday morning I headed down to Columbus to spend the day with Mary Beth, Clark, and Clementine (Adam was at camp). Clementine look so different each time I see her. Clark seems to get a little funnier each time I see him. I think he will honestly play pro baseball one day. The kid is absolutely obsessed with baseball. I went outside to play baseball with him and he started to pitch he bent over and put his glove behind is back and slouched down like he was waiting for the sign and then he did the windup just like the big leaguers. I took a video of it but I'm not sure if I can add that or not-I'll try. At any rate always good to see the two kids and I got to catch up with Mary Beth also which is nice to do! I also met up with Krista from UU and her boyfriend Nick who took me to this really awesome Italian restaurant right down the road from Adam and MB's. Always good to visit with her! All in all a very good visit.
SHIPSHEWANA
On Wednesday I met up with my mom, Grampa, and Aunt Vic and we headed to Shipshewana IN which is a huge outdoor Flea Market. Many of you may remember that Wednesday was like the hottest day of the year. Well poor Grampa didn't fare too well-he went down about 1 1/2 aisles and I told him to sit down and we would come back and pick him up. He agreed. We didn't stay too long which was probably a good idea (I think my mom got heat exhaustion-she didn't look too good and she was sick the whole next day). At any route it was good to have a little family bonding time. Then that night I played in a co-ed soccer game-my league started back up which is good, maybe I can lose some weight! ( Gotta love having a desk job!)
Alison Krauss and Union Station
ON TUESDAY JASON AND I WENT AND WATCHED MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE SINGER ALISON KRAUSS SINGING WITH UNION STATION UP IN DETROIT. SHE PUT ON A HECK OF A SHOW. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO SEE HER FOR YEARS AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT. JASON EVEN SAID IT WAS BETTER THAN HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BUT HE DID ALMOST FALL ASLEEP DURING SOME OF THE SLOW STUFF. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED ABOUT HOW THE BAND PLAYS AND ALISON CAN REALLY BELT IT OUT.
Time with the Girls
Last Saturday I headed to Southern Ohio to spend some time with some of my best pals. I met up with Cynamyn, Jenn, and Michelle at Cyn's place in Piqua. It was nice to just sit around and catch up about everything. There was a lot of wedding talk as Jenn and Michelle are both set to get married next summer. Cynamyn has a new roommate who you will see pictured below. Harley, who was quite the little entertainer.
