Our sick little Valentine
Poor Austin had a rough week. Hard to tell by the pictures but he is still not feeling so well! He started to get a bit of a cough last Sunday/Monday and by Tuesday he was wheezing pretty bad. I took him to the doctor on Wednesday and they said he had a viral infection but wanted me to take him to get an x-ray to make sure it wasn't pneumonia, thankfully it wasn't but he still was pretty sick. Everyone at the doctors office kept calling him a "happy wheezer." He really was pretty content for as bad as he sounded. Friday was his worst day. He was pretty miserable at Tina's and then when I got him home he took a little nap and when I went to get him up I could tell he was burning up. I took his temperature and it was 102. This was the first time his temp was ever over like 98 so I was a bit taken back. I called the doctor just to make sure we were doing things right and we gave him Tylenol to keep it down. It was up pretty much all through the night and into Saturday morning but it finally dissipated early Saturday. The rest of Saturday and today he has been a little fussy and tired but for as cruddy as he probably feels he has been quite the little trooper! I've quickly learned that having a sick child it one of the worst things in the world. You want nothing more than to be able to make them feel better and unfortunately sometimes you just can't! He is on the road to recovery though! The bad part is that the doctor said that this is probably something he is going to get every year :( I hope that he will be in the percentage that doesn't ever get it again----but with my stupid allergies and breathing problems that doesn't go to his favor. Hope everyone is doing well! By the way good thing the little man had some weight to spare I'm pretty sure he lost a pound or two this week.
