Go Buckeyes!

Well it is gearing up to be that time again....football season. You know the time where wives rarely see their husbands unless we jus happen to be football fans too and we are sitting next to them on the couch. Luckily, Jason married a fan too so we will have our Saturday/Sunday bonding in the living room, on commercials that is. We are heading down to Columbus this weekend, and definately looking forward to that. We get to see the first game of the season that is looking pretty promising, and I get to see my little nephew which is always nice. Well and Adam and Mary Beth too, it's nice to see them too I suppose :) Pretty quiet on the homefront this way. We are fortunate to only be getting a little rain from the storms down south. Don't forget to pray for everyone that is involved in the hurricane. Also, always remember our troops that are still over there fighting for us. I heard a story today about someone going to a Browns football game with 70,ooo drunks, and when a moment of silence was requested for the troops they got quiet. Everyone has a lot of respect for these men and women, too bad these good men and women can't be at home with their families and friends enjoying their lives like the rest of us. Enough about that...Put a smile on your face and make the world a better place :)

Home Sweet Home

Just thought I would put a few pictures of our apartment up on here; for everyone who hasn't been able to make it up. The older I get the more I realize how much I have in common with my mother, ahhh, we have the same sense of style, don't tell her I said that though I don't want her to get a big head. I do have a country taste, it runs in my blood though. Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy yourseves!

Here is our first project together, we got to put this together, Brazilian pine, it is pretty sweet, this is in the bedroom. My bro and sis got me a piece that you can see in the living room!  Posted by Picasa

Here is part of the kitchen that gets use with me trying to learn how to cook, some people are just not gifted in that area, thank goodness for frozen dinners ;) Posted by Picasa

This gives you an idea of how the apartment is laid out, not much too it, but it's home for right now.  Posted by Picasa

I just love this little shelf, and there is Jason playing Playstation, imagine that :) Posted by Picasa

Well here is the Raike's humble abode for the time being. This is part of the living room, thank you mom for making those curtains so we don't look like white trash anymore. The picture hanging next to the window was a wedding gift from my "great" great aunt Suz. It is awesome, there is a lot of history behind it and we are glad to have it in our first home. Posted by Picasa

5 weeks and counting....

Well we have made it 5 weeks and we are still married so I think we are gonna be ok. Things are going pretty well for us, nothing real exciting, but we are old and married folks now so what do you expect.

Like father...like son! Krispy Kreme Donut's newest posterboard. Hello college fund! Posted by Picasa

Here are the bridesmaids minus the maid/matron of honor. This was our sweet ride to the church. Good looking group :) Posted by Picasa

The look of total confusion on our faces is pretty funny...best looking cake I've ever seen though....Jason isn't too bad either ;) Posted by Picasa

Meet The Raike Family

Well, Jason and I are officially hitched and loving every minute of it. I think that's a good sign after 3 weeks that we don't wanna kill each other. We have been getting the thank you notes done, getting things picked up around the apartment, Jason has been getting up before work and running (I hate morning people), and I have been trying to cook (that's not easy for me). Other than that, I've been fighthing off some sinus problems, I know it's always something with me. We got some tickets for the first Buckeyes game, we are taking Adam and Mary Beth and Clark of course for all their help with the wedding. Although, Jason did get us some OSU/Michigan tickets yesterday, and he is so excited I don't think he's going to sleep until November. Not too much has been going on with us for right now. We are getting into watching the Toledo Mud Hens Minor League Baseball games, they are cheap and we have a good time, can't beat that. Well, I hope to have some pictures up in the next week or so from the wedding/country concert and all that fun stuff. I just wanna give a shout out to everyone involved with our wedding ....we owe a lot of credit to a lot of people for all their hard work, time, ideas, patience, and love for us. The wedding was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing if I could. I got to marry the man of my dreams and now he's stuck with me forever! :) For now.....this is is....we are getting the internet this weekend, so hopefully we will be able to update more often! Check out my bro's blog sometime!
