This weekend Cynamyn, Jen, and Levi came up from Dayton and Piqua to meet Austin. And Slim ventured over for the day as well. We had a good time. Jason, Slim, and Levi went golfing while us girls slept in a bit and got some food ready for the Buckeyes game. We watched lots of football. We also enjoyed a little Wii, some Ping Pong was played, and we watched a few youtube videos (lol). Tressel loved all the attention. Don't worry there was nothing in the beer bottle! I am back to work on Tuesday and not looking forward to leaving my little guy. I hope to take full advantage of my last day with him tomorrow. That's all for now.
Slim and Austin--isn't he cute? Slim I mean :)

Visit from his cousins
Mary Beth brought Clark and Clementine up last week for a visit. I can't believe how big those two are getting. We had a really good visit. We went to dinner on Thursday night with my mom and Grampa at a little place here in town that serves your food on trains--Clark was in heaven (thanks Erin for telling me about it!). Then on Friday we went over to the Botanical Gardens and walked around. Sad that it is less than a mile away from our house and I haven't been there in the 3 1/2 years we've lived here. It is a pretty cool place. Then we surprised Clark and took him to Chucky Cheese for lunch. He seemed to have a blast. Austin slept through his whole first experience at Chucky Cheese but that was just fine with us. Enjoy the pictures.
Saturday Jason and I left Austin with his parent's and we went to his 10 year reunion--I know he's getting old! We had a good time. It is always good to see old friends!

Middle Name
Most people probably wondered how we came up with Austin's middle name. I know we told most of you that we wanted a middle name that started with a "J" so we could call Austin "AJ"...but that didn't work out. All of the middle names we liked that started with a "J" didn't sound right with Austin. So, Jason and I decided that we would each write down a few middle names that we liked and then we would compare our lists. We both wrote down 4 names and amazingly we both had the name Connor on our lists. I took that as a sign that of all the names in the world we both picked that one that he was meant to have that as his middle name. I also liked the meaning of Connor which is wise. Austin means great. Anyways, that might clear things up as to why we don't have an AJ but as Jason's friends have nicknamed him--AC Raiker (for those of you who don't know that comes from Saved by the Bell AC Slater). And now you know :)

Extreme Close-Up
Austin sleeping in the crade that was made by my Great Grandpa Schmunk. As you can see by the names listed above, this is the same cradle that I slept in, and Austin's uncles Adam and Andy, and his cousins Clark and Clementine. My cousin Amber also got use of this. Austin will be done with the cradle in time for his 3rd cousin Metz to be able to use it. Pretty neat seeing something being kept in the family so long!

Road Trip
Well as you can see from the photos, we made it to Key West and back safely. Austin was a trooper--he was great the whole trip. Meredith's wedding went really well--despite not being able to have it on the beach. We are glad to be back in Ohio but we all had a great trip. Enjoy the pictures.
